Ways to Give

Don’t Give Up – Please Give

March 7, 2018

Every Catholic knows the question, “what are you giving up for Lent?” So often we think about giving up chocolate or wine or another thing we really like in order to show our devotion. Sacrifice is a beautiful part of our tradition, as we recall the one made by Jesus Christ. This Lent we remind you of the three-fold encouragement given for this season: Pray, Fast, and Give. Today we want to talk about giving.

Last year Americans gave nearly $390 Billion to charity. We are a giving people. Those of us with the means to do so, and some who do not, donate to causes which are important to us. Every working generation has taken up the mantle to give to those in need. These donations help ensure organizations and missions such as ours can continue to serve the poor and marginalized in our communities. Your gifts equal service. It feels good to make a difference.

This lent we are asking you to give to the scholarship fund for Technical Institute La Inmaculada in Pochocuape, Nicaragua.

Just $10 gives a child 10 days of education.

Our goal is to provide 30 full year scholarships. As of this posting, we have raised enough money to send seven children to school for a year. Please help us reach this goal and change the life of a child.
