Mother Cabrini’s 173rd Birthday
The Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus have asked us to join them in celebrating their Foundress. The Month of July is of particular significance to the sisters this year because we are celebrating the 77th Anniversary of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini’s canonization on July 7th. Mother Cabrini was the first American Saint. In addition, we will be celebrating Mother Cabrini’s 173rd Birthday in Heaven on July 15th.
Join the Sisters, join us.
Purchase a virtual candle to honor her, honor a loved one, add a special intention. The Sisters will hold your prayers and intentions for the duration of Mother Cabrini’s birthday month. Please help Cabrini Mission Foundation continue the good works of Mother Cabrini, sponsor a candle, change a life.
General Operating Funds for Missions
Cabrini Mission Foundation financially supports missions in the Guadalupe Province. Many times we are able to anticipate or respond to needs. Our generous donors have seen this in the form of projects or our request for immediate funds following the eruption of volcano Fuego in Guatemala. However, occasionally a need arises for which our missions could not prepare. For these emergent needs our missions rely on donations marked “Where Needed Most.” Please consider making a donation to our general fund. It helps the missions on rainy days.
Work With Immigrants At the Border
The Cabrini Mission Foundation has a long history of working with migrants and displaced people. Responding to the Gospel call for justice and love, honoring the Catholic Social Teachings on the dignity of all persons, and continuing the legacy of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, Patroness of Immigrants, the Cabrini Mission Foundation is committed to:
- WELCOME as brothers and sisters all immigrants to the lands in which we are missioned.
- SUPPORT the rights of all persons to flee political, religious, or economic persecution; and support the basic human rights and dignity of all persons regarding: food, shelter, health care, employment at just wages, religious freedom and also honoring their customs and traditions.
- EDUCATE others and ourselves about the needs of immigrants.
- RE-EXAMINE political laws and regulations in the light of these justice issues and to work to change those that do not meet human needs.
- WORK in solidarity with immigrants and with others who share our values and beliefs to promote justice and compassion for all immigrants.
