Since 2020, the Cabrini Mission Foundation has partnered with local organizations and faith-based groups to support immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. Our efforts have primarily focused on providing essential supplies—food, water, clothing, and toiletries—to uphold the dignity of those on the move.
Currently, the U.S.-Mexico border remains closed to those without passports or visas. The repeated opening and closing of the border with each new administration highlights the deep flaws in our immigration system.
Our latest partnership is with Del Camino Jesuit Border Ministries, a Jesuit-led initiative. Their name, meaning “of the way,” is inspired by Nuestra Señora del Camino (Our Lady of the Way). Many migrants turn to the Virgin Mary in prayer, and this devotion was especially significant to St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits.
Together, we continue to pray for her intercession, asking for protection and guidance for all those on their migrant journey.
