The Cabrini Mission Foundation’s Border Fund continues Mother Cabrini’s work of extending God’s love to those in need by providing compassionate care and practical help.
The Immigrant Services Fund helps stranded migrants with a safe place to sleep, clean water to drink and adequate nutrition at well run migrant shelters. The Cabrini Mission Foundation works with local non-profits in Mexico such as Angry Tias and Abuelas, Casa Migrante San Juan Diego y San Francisco de Asis A.C and One Mission with Pastor Abraham Barberi to establish and manage shelters that enable families as well as individuals to live with dignity while they wait for their cases to be processed.
Thanks to our generous donors we are grateful to be able to provide a safe environment, warm meals, clean water, and a roof over their heads to protect them from the weather and a clean bed to sleep. To date, Cabrini Mission Foundation has provided funds for the building of a well, toilets. a septic system, a commercial refrigerator and freezer. The Foundation has also supplied bunk beds and mattresses, clothing items and disposable paper products.
In addition to the work being done at the border, Cabrini Mission Foundation also funds programs that provide NYC Metrocards, basic personal hygiene items, Visa gift cards for immediate needs, legal assistance, case management services to support families in getting medical assistance, registering their kids for school, and finding jobs.
