Effective January 1, 2013, all restricted gifts to the Cabrini Mission Foundation (CMF) are subject to a 5% charge for administration funds and operations. An administrative fee on new gifts magnifies the impact of philanthropic contributions by increasing our capacity to reach out to donors who can help advance CMF’s vital missions. A foundation’s charitable operating and administrative expenses are the costs it incurs to carry out its charitable mission, including expenses for grants administration, general support services and non-grant charitable activities. These costs, along with grants, comprise the bulk of CMF’s distributions that count toward its 5% payout requirement.
