Something For You

Cabrini’s planned giving consultant, David Valinsky, shared with me a very interesting legacy society seminar that  he presented for friends and donors of the Pallottine Sisters Health System. The seminar, “Make 2012 Your Healthiest Year Ever” featured three excellent speakers on the following topics: current investment trends, the four most important documents that you should have and four steps to living a healthy and spiritual life.

It was a departure from many typical estate planning seminars and I wanted to share some of the highlights with you.

A very respected estate planning attorney, who has been honored for his extraordinary community service,
discussed four essential documents that will help you take control of many of life’s unexpected twists and turns.

Current Will
Allows you to designate the person who administers your estate and distributes your assets in exactly the way that you want.

Business Durable Power of Attorney
Allows you to designate a person to act in your place for financial purposes when and if you become incapacitated

Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care
Allows the person you designate to make health care decisions for you if you are unable to do so.

Living Will
Instructs your health care provided on your health care wishes if you are unable to express them because you are permanently unconscious or in a vegetative state

In our next issue we will share with you “Four Steps for Living a Healthy and Spiritual Life.”
